I'm not sure my next cats will be able to come and go outdoors like Ginger. Fortunately, she doesn't go after birds since the times she's tried she's gotten in BIG trouble. Monday two of our neighbor's cats were in our front yard and they had a baby robin. My brother rescued it, and we looked for the nest but it was getting dark and we did not see one. He took it - at 9pm - to a vet hospital about fifteen minutes away. It died anyway. I was told later that when these baby birds are bitten at all by a cat, it's considered poison - it's the cat saliva. Poor little bird! I still like these two cats, who come through regularly. But ours stay in. :)Lisahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12503930255842185609noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2536895335969103038.post-6232417079222862562018-05-16T07:46:27.815-06:002018-05-16T07:46:27.815-06:00I definitely know what you mean...we rescued an ou...I definitely know what you mean...we rescued an outdoor stray and have pretty much tamed her...we call her Callie...(because she's a tortie...haha)...but she is quite the predator as well...and we've rescued a bunny and a baby squirrel from her claws...she regular leaves lifeless voles on the doorstep as well...it's always sad...especially because she's so proud of her accomplishment...

~Have a lovely day!affectioknithttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00956694289800463441noreply@blogger.com
