Flowers, Tomatillos, and other Sights in the Fall Garden

Its hard to believe the summer is so rapidly drawing to a close.  We've gotten a few things planted for a fall garden and our peppers, tomatoes, tomatillos, and eggplants are just beautiful right now.  We've been eating really, really good!  Its a wonderful time of the culinary year.  I am also quite pleased with my little patches of mixed wildflowers.  They really do add something special to the atmosphere of the garden...even if we can't eat them!  We still haven't gotten any zucchini because we planted so late.  Fortunately, that is easy to come by--and cheap!  We may have missed the window for squash though.  I've still got my fingers crossed we'll get some decent sized winter squash yet.  They've got time.

  1. All looking very good there Beth. Lovely to have that fresh tasty produce and pretty flowers. I'm just sowing my zucchini and pumpkin seeds today.
