Gratitude Challenge: Days 7-14 (The Matt Edition)

I am grateful for how frequently and vigorously Matt makes me laugh--on the good days and the bad days.

Matt was a willing subject as I played around with one of the community kaleidoscopes at Hillberry.  He makes me laugh every single day.  10/7/2024

I am grateful for Matt's humbling work ethic and drive--in the garden, at his job, on his hobbies, around the house, with our finances and goals, at being a husband and friend--in every facet of his being.

The second his feet hit the ground...cooking breakfast, making coffee, reading, feeding Ginger, canning tomato sauce, planting peas, going for a walk, planning our next trip, stirring the compost pile...this guy gets more done before I get up in the morning than some people--myself included--do all day long.  8/18/2024

I am grateful that Matt is my biggest supporter in, well, basically everything I do--from sewing to community organizing.
That armchair in my sewing room is for Matt.  He regularly keeps me company and will offer input on my projects upon request.  He is a very good idea man!  He picked the color combos for the strip quilting I have pinned to the wall.  He wears the shirts I make him with pride and always reports to me when he receives compliments on them.  The amount he encourages me in my personal pursuits is such a gift to me.  7/29/2024
I am grateful that Matt is an excellent cook who continues to pass his culinary skills and passion along to me.
Matt making a precision-stacked pyramid of fried tofu.  After the success with Old Bay fried tofu (via Lisa and Jason) we decided to try Creole Seasoning (via Sarah).  It was also very yummy and spicy.  I think the "secret" ingredient to both is salt. :)  11/5/2024
I am grateful that Matt gets along well with his family and enjoys spending time with them, carrying on their traditions, sharing old memories, and making new ones.
Matt and his brother, Adam, working a jigsaw puzzle at one of our BnB rentals.  We went to two nights of Goose at the Kettlehouse Amp for Matt's birthday.  9/20/2024
I am grateful that Matt has a sensitive, thoughtful, joyful heart and a rock-solid moral compass.
Matt rubbing Val's cat, Halle Berry, on her big, beautiful belly.  All animals love him.  They can tell he is good people.  10/7/2024
I am grateful that Matt and I get to pedal to/from work together a few times a week (now that Matt's become a cycle commuter again).
The sunrise was especially glorious this day.  It is almost as bright and colorful as Matt's neon Please-Don't-Run-Me-Over-Vest!  11/12/24
I am grateful for Matt's joyful spirit and how much fun and satisfaction we find being together--whatever we might be doing!
Matt is in his element at the Hillberry Music Festival.  These five glorious days always serve to remind me of what a beautiful life we are living together.  Photo credit: Festy Panda. 10/4/2024
