Many More than Seven

We planted a couple currant bushes three years ago.  Last year they fruited.  We got, if I recall correctly, seven beautiful, red currants to eat.  Well, this year they did significantly better than that.  This year we made it up to 9 ounces, just a shade over half a pound.  Still not quite enough to bother with making jelly we decided, but I sure enjoyed much of it fresh and the rest was added to our breakfast smoothies.  They're both pretty and tasty--though Matt doesn't really care for them fresh.  I sure do though.  If things keep progressing like this we might make some currant jelly next year by golly!
