A Bit of Silliness

Moving does have its fun moments.  Like when you are given a humongous black box that more than one person suggests looks like a coffin.  It was a really, really big box.  Feeling a bit silly I said to Matt, "I bet I could fit in that."
And I did.  I tried to get Matt to give it a try, but he declined saying he'd probably ruin the box.
In the end in made a fabulous box for moving clothes since it was the perfect width to accommodate hangers.

  1. It does look like a coffin! But, as you said, it is perfect for clothes on hangers. I would keep that for storage.

    1. They will make great storage boxes. We're going to fill them (there are two) with tie-dye when we go vending I think, but it all depends on how they fit into our little Toyota!

  2. Beth, thanks so much for your sweet comment about Maria's move. We will miss her very much, but I'm so glad she'll be in a town where she has many friends and much to do.
You know who your real friends are when it's time to move. And you got to soak in a hot tub when you were done - wonderful!
I chuckled when I read of Matt's moving the compost pile. David vetoed it when we moved from Conrad to Choteau, but I hated leaving some good compost behind. We gardeners are a different breed, for sure!
I know you'll love the settled feeling of having your own home................Denise

    1. Thanks, Denise. We got a lot unboxed this weekend, but as we cross thing off the to-do list we keep adding more. Ah, this is the fun part.

Matt cleared the yard of leaves and left-behind dog waste and toy debris yesterday and spaded up a bed for peas and greens. Then we woke this morning to a light blanket of snow.

  3. What an adventure, your new house with HOT TUB (my wife wants me to sacrifice a bit of our precious backyard for one...). I have seen those doorbells in pawnshops etc hereabouts. Bet someone still makes them?

    1. Great idea on the pawnshops. I will check that out. I did see both originals and remakes for sale online. I am totally going to get one! Our new house doesn't have a doorbell, an oddity pointed out by the home inspector. So problem solved!

I always thought having a hot tub would be the best. Now I unexpectedly have one. Oh, it is a wonderful way to end the day and seems to help me sleep like a baby. If our yard space was more limited though it would be tough. They do take up quite a bit of space alright.
