Mark Twain on Cats

"If man could be crossed with the cat it would improve the man, but it would deteriorate the cat." - Mark Twain
I came across this quote in a collection of clever bits of wisdom from Mark Twain.  Naturally, I shared it with Ginger who gave it a small meow and rubbed her cheek across the corner of the book.

  2. I just found another Twain quote about cats: “If animals could speak, the dog would be a blundering outspoken fellow; but the cat would have the rare grace of never saying a word too much.” - Mark Twain
