"Currant" Events

Its official.  The currants are doing something!  Yippeee!
I mean, its not looking like we'll get enough to, say, make jam or anything, but they are definitely fruiting.  We're pretty excited about it since its the first time they've done so.  The strawberry fruits are also forming up.  My taste buds are busting with excitement at the fruity prospects.  Its about to get really, really good.

  1. Enjoy the yummy fruit! Sadly our currant 'bushes' did not survive long in the spots we chose to plant them in - too dry. I will try again once a new spot has been found.

    1. We just noticed the berries are now red. Yipppe! Too bad about yours, but that trial and error bit sure seems to come with the territory, doesn't it?

  2. I've never planted any edibles, but if I did I'd love to try strawberries, tomatoes, and asparagus!

    1. Tomatoes are one of my favorites. I love them in just about anything--though I don't love to eat them raw. Strawberries would be a great place to start with gardening. They kind of just do there thing on their own...at least that's been my experience. And, man, did they ruin me on store-bought strawberries. They do not even begin to compare.
