Gifted With Fruit: My Grandma Grapes

This is the first year of my Grandma Grapes.  We planted them in the spring the year she died.  The wee vines took time to mature though, as all good things do.  This year they finally gifted us with fruit.
They are like candy, these grapes.  Beautiful little dusty-pink orbs of sweetness.  I pop them into my mouth one after the other using both hands to get them in there faster and faster.  Matt laughs at me.  They're just so yummy.  And sweet to me in many senses of that word.
I miss receiving letters written in my grandma's beautiful hand.  Talking to her on her birthday.  Visiting her on the rare occasions I went up north.  But she's still here.  In me.  In my grapes.   My Grandma Grapes.
