Seasonal Treats: There are plenty of foods we only eat during a set growing season. For example, we never buy eggplant at the store and just enjoy it when fresh from the garden. Or when it is citrus season we gobble up the oranges, etc. These are recipes that we use a lot during the respective seasons but shelve again until next year.
Old News, Experimental, or Sporadic At Best: These recipes have either been improved upon to the point of becoming a totally new recipe (which has gone on to supplant the original and is probably under the Heavy Hitters category now). Or perhaps they were something more experimental that we were trying out, but didn't end up adopting into the repertoire on any sort of regular basis.
